Stocade

Stocade is a formulation of three fat soluble vitamins, A, D3 and E, used for massive dose administration to poultry through their drinking water. It is a golden yellowish aqueous solution packed in protective 1 litre plastic jerricans. These vitamins are not normally soluble in water but are made so in Stocade with the aid of a special process.

Why Is Stocade Better Than Other AD3E Formulations?

Primarily because it is absorbed in the bird's system more quickly and more completely than other preparations. Stocade is an aqueous solution not an oil, oily emulsion, or soluble pow-der. The vitamins are combined with special solubilisers to enable them to remain dispersed in water and to form minute globules (less than 6 microns) which are much smaller than those in an oily emulsion or powder suspension. Rapid absorption of Stocade results in a 50% increase in the levels of Vitamin A absorbed compared with oil, oily emulsion or soluble powders. The particles of oils, oily emulsions and soluble powders are so large that they can be seen clearly in the drinking water usually as a white cloud. An aqueous solution such as Stocade involves globules of liquid so fine that they are impossible to see even under the average microscope.
